Native to central Mexico & western South America. Hardy to -1°C.
Attractive large heart shaped leaves with delicious fruit, this plant loves full sun or semi shade. Not wind hardy, it grows best in warm temperatures and are relatively frost tender but will grow back from the base if frost damaged. Does not do wet feet so make sure to keep them dry and protect from snails when young. I do have mine planted in tyres as the soil here is not free draining, so far they've been fine.
